Q: Why does your product have an activator?
A: Instead of product sitting on shelf deactivating, having an activator gives you the freshest product possible because you mix it yourself when you are ready for your hunt.
Q: How does Lethal® Field Spray & Activator work?
A: Lethal® Field Spray & Activator contains Zinc ricinoleate, a highly effective odor absorber. Hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan, thioether, amine and ammonia are effectively controlled. Once the odor is absorbed it will not release even after drying. A permanent binding effect takes place. This is not always the case with other odor eliminators. The odor elimination properties depend on a chemical complexing with the low molecular weight organic compounds containing functional groups such as amino nitrogen and mercaptan sulfur. Zinc ricinoleate has no effect on carbonylic groups such as aldehydes and ketones (typical fragrance components). In an aqueous form it is activated, freely accessible to complex with odor molecules. The mode of action is similar to and can be compared to the iron binding and transport of oxygen in hemoglobin.
Q: How long does it last after activation?
A: This product lasts between 10 to 12 weeks after activation.
Q: Does Lethal® Field Spray (LFS) have a smell?
A: Not everyone, but a few people have asked why does LFS go from ‘kind’ of a smell when first used, to ‘no’ smell after it dries? LFS was designed using some Critical Care Hospital Grade (CCHG) raw materials intended for use in shampoos and body washes. When these CCHG items are formulated with the active ingredients that are critical to the performance properties of LFS, a certain unique chemical reaction takes place. When LFS is sprayed it reacts with the impurities found on your clothing, which is what some of you are smelling. Once the reaction has occurred anything you might think you smell is gone. Think of Isopropyl Alcohol. If you put IPA on your skin it is very cold and the smell is very pungent, but only for seconds, which is a similar chemical reaction. Once the IPA evaporates, you can’t tell you ever used it at all. The same concept applies here. You spray LFS on your items, there is a reaction, then you can’t tell you used anything at all. The End!
